Learn how to use the transformative forces of Prana within and around you for your highest wellbeing! While Prana is a common topic in Yoga and Ayurveda, it is seldom explained in its inner workings extending to the mind. In this webinar, we will look at Prana as universal force and its manifestations on all levels of our being and the different realms of the cosmos and our natural environment. Prana and its five subtypes (Prana, Apana, Samana, Udana and Vyana) are the primary energies behind Yoga and Ayurveda. The five Pranas, called Vayus, are the five aspects of Vata dosha in Ayurveda, the prime dosha governing health and disease. The five Pranas are the main factors of Pranayama in Yoga, from the ordinary breath to the movement of the Prana into the Sushumna and the rising of Kundalini Shakti for Self-realization.
Prana governs the energy and functions of body, senses, emotions, mind and intelligence, extending to Chitshakti, the energy of Consciousness itself. Nothing is possible without its proper activation. We will discuss the five pranas and their movements, including practical means to develop, balance and transform them for healing body and mind and unfolding the inner powers of Yoga and the subtle body that Prana rules over. These include special applications of pranayama, pratyahara, mantra, concentration and meditation.
Dr. David Frawley has examined the role of the five pranas in Yoga and Ayurveda in depth from Vedic texts to Raja and Hatha Yoga, and studied with great Yogis and Ayurvedic doctors in India for the last forty years. He presents you with a view of Prana that is multidimensional and many-sided that will open up new vistas and forces for you to work with as you are inspired. Let your highest Prana manifest in all that you do!
